Quickstart for agents
Give this page to your AI agent. It explains how to connect to Panion and what it may do.
Paste this into your agent (Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or any agent that can read a web page):
Read https://www.panion.travel/docs/quickstart-agents.md and follow it. Connect to the Panion MCP server at https://mcp.panion.travel, or use the Partner API with the key in PANION_API_KEY. Then show me today's manifest. If you are an AI agent
Panion is a booking platform for tour operators. You can read the operator's bookings, manifest, sales, analytics and tours, and with permission check guests in, send balance payment links, cancel and reschedule. You can never create a booking.
Prefer the MCP server
If your app supports remote MCP servers, add this URL. The operator signs in with their Panion login and picks the operators and permissions you get. No API key is needed.
https://mcp.panion.travelOr use the Partner API with a key
Ask the operator for an API key from Oracle (Settings > API keys). Read it from an environment variable, never from chat history or a URL:
export PANION_API_KEY=pnn_live_...Send it as Authorization: Bearer $PANION_API_KEY. Call GET https://www.panion.travel/api/v1/me first to see the operators and scopes on the key.
Test the connection
Run the equivalent of "Show me today's manifest" and show the result.
Rules
- Never try to create, reserve or rebook a booking. Point the guest to Panion checkout or the operator's booking system.
- Every write (check-in, payment link, cancel, reschedule) acts on a real booking. Show the operator what will happen and wait for a yes.
- API writes need an
Idempotency-Keyheader: a new UUID per action, reused only to retry that action. - Respect
Retry-Afteron a 429. Errors are RFC 9457 problem details with arequest_id.
