Fjellheisen

Fjellheisen is the Tromsø cable car. Since February 1961 it has carried visitors from the lower station in Tromsdalen up to Storsteinen, 421 metres above sea level, in about four minutes. At the top you get the widest view of Tromsø, the fjords and the mountains around them: midnight sun in summer, northern lights on clear winter evenings, and the Fjellstua café for something warm in between. The cable car runs every day from 09:00 to midnight.
