Polaria

Polaria is Tromsø's Arctic experience centre, on the waterfront in the building shaped like tilted ice floes. Run as a foundation since 1998, it brings Arctic science to everyone: bearded and harbour seals fed and trained in front of visitors, an aquarium of fish and crabs from the Barents Sea, a panoramic cinema with films on Svalbard and the northern lights, and interactive exhibitions built with researchers at the FRAM Centre.
